Controlled Burn Sends Smoke & Ash Into Lubbock - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Smoke and ash swept across parts of Lubbock Saturday afternoon. The sheriff's department tells NewsChannel 11 it came from controlled burn east of Lubbock near Idalou.

Photojournalist Curt Watson found the fire near F.M. 400 and East Keuka Street. It appeared the burn was to get rid of a building.
