Clovis Police Investigate Suspicious Fire Death

Clovis Police are still investigating a suspicious death after a fire Saturday in Clovis, New Mexico.

Firefighters found 54-year-old Elizabeth McAdams dead when they responded to a fire in the 1600 block of North Lea Street. Upon removing the body firefighters discovered a large cut wound on McAdams neck.

Shortly after, police started a homicide investigation. Evidence at the scene indicates several small fires may have been set to burn the house down and destroy evidence of the murder.
