One of six suspects charged with the murder of a Lubbock teen is on her way to prison. Keyairra Brown, 35, pleaded guilty to murder Monday morning in Lubbock court. She'll spend 29 years in prison for her role in the death of 17-year-old Bernard Wilson.
A passing motorist found Wilson's body in east Lubbock County in December of 2005. Investigators say he was stabbed and beaten eight months prior and then moved to Yellow House Canyon. DNA testing confirmed his identity earlier this year.
Authorities also charged five other suspects with Wilson's murder. Those cases are still pending against Thamar Snyder, Wanda Wilson, her son Leslie Evans, Carnell Littlejohn, and Joe Ragan. Prosecutors say they include different degrees of responsibility and each suspect will be dealt with, one at a time, based on the evidence.
