A Lubbock City Council member went back to school Wednesday. TJ Patterson spent the day as a student at Estacado High School. Patterson rode the bus, ate lunch and attended classes with the kids. He says his goal was to let the students know their concerns are important to the city.

Legacy Play Village organizers still need your help before construction can begin in two days. They need volunteers and tools. The Play Village is an all volunteer built playground designed by the community. If you would like to volunteer stop by any American State Bank or call 791-KIDS. Any tools you donate will be returned to you once construction is finished.

The Lubbock company, Enprotec held a training seminar Wednesday to teach people how to handle chemical or biological attacks. Enprotec is an engineering firm that trains people how to handle hazardous materials. Wednesday the company taught 20 people in local business and government what to do in a disaster.
