Fatal Accident In Lubbock Kills Two And Injures Three

Two are dead and three more injured after a fatal early morning car accident at 40th and Avenue W.  The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning. 25-year-old Steven Jimenez was traveling South on Avenue W when he drove through the intersection and hit a tree in Clapp Park.

Police found Jimenez and one passenger, 17-year-old Julian Perez dead at the scene. Three other passengers, 15-year-old Renee Perez, 17-year-old Jennifer Morales, and 17-year-old Patricia Brabec were transported to University Medical Center with critical injuries. Police don't know at this time if alcohol was involved in the accident.
