Central Lubbock Carjacking Injures One - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Just after midnight on New Years Day, officers say a group of men carjacked a vehicle at 48th and Avenue S, and struck a pedestrian while making their getaway. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious , but non-life threatening injuries.

TABC officers spotted the vehicle near 84th and Interstate 27, minutes later. And that is when the suspects abandoned the car, and ran off on foot.  

They are described as five, Hispanic males in their mid to late twenties.

Authorities took a man into custody nearby, but it is still unclear if he is related to this case.
