Series Of Small Fires Demonstrate Fire Danger

The dry conditions keep area fire crews on alert.   Firefighters tackled a grass fire near Shallowater Monday. There were also small grass fires in Lubbock, as well as the Carlisle and Woodrow fire territories Monday evening and night. 

The area hasn't seen much rainfall since the 100-year flood back in September.  While Lubbock County is not in a burn ban, leaders urge everyone to use caution.
