Hundreds of people showed up at Gene Messer Ford, Saturday, to grab a free DNA Lifeprint Child safety kit. The kit comes with an applicator that allows you to rub the inside of a child's cheek for DNA. The DNA will be preserved for more than 80 years in case of an emergency.
"If anything ever happens to this child, the parent can turn this kid over to the police department. They can use it for identification for the child," says Gene Messer Ford's Greg Moore. Gene Messer Ford actually ran out of DNA kits at the event. More than 100 rain-checks were made for parents to pick up the kits later.
