Lubbock Health Department Offering Adult Flu Shot Clinic Tuesday
The City of Lubbock Health Department will offer an influenza immunization clinic for adults on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the Health Department auditorium.
According to Google Flu Trends, which tracks searches for flu-related symptoms, Texas is now one of 10 states that have moderate levels of flu activity. The rest of the nation is in the low category.
The Health Department is located at 19th Street and Texas Avenue. The cost is $15 per person; however, no one will be turned away for inability to pay unless vaccine supply has been depleted. Medicare will be accepted.
You cannot take the flu shot if you are ill with a fever, have an allergy to eggs, or have had an adverse reaction to a previous flu shot.
