Drier west to northwest winds Monday afternoon will help to dry roads, however, there will be some isolated icy patches where water is left standing. And that water will likely refreeze overnight.
Some Lubbock ISD students headed back to school after Christmas break were a little late getting there. Classes were not officially delayed, but many buses slowed down to get kids to school safely.
No new rain or snow is expected for the remainder of this week.
Tuesday will be windy and warmer with winds from the northwest at 15-25 and gusty and highs around 50 degrees. It will move into the 60's by Wednesday.
