Morning Stabbing Becomes Lubbock's 10th Homicide

Lubbock Police are now investigating their 10th homicide of the year. Just before two Sunday morning Lubbock Police were called to the 1800 block of 15th Street. When they arrived they found 27 year-old William Devaughn Bell lying face down in the street with what appeared to be a stab wound in his upper torso. Bell was transported to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police arrested 36-year-old Michael Shivers. His bond is set at $200,000. Shivers was arraigned at 10:30 a.m. Monday.
