Marcy Jarrett has resigned as the Executive Director of Visit Lubbock. During her nearly five year tenure hotel tax revenue went up anywhere from 4 to 14 percent each year. The total increase was more than 48 percent.
"You can look at the numbers last 5 years the total for the city the total hotel motel occupancy tax revenue is up 48%. I don't know how that compares to other cities but to me that's a pretty good number," said Gary Lawrence with LEDA.
Jarrett will stick around long enough to help Lawrence with the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance find her replacement.
