We used to hear public officials calling upon Lubbockites to pray for rain. That was before the historic rains of September 11th. We haven't had much rain since and it's beginning to show.

The U.S. Drought Monitor shows Lubbock is "abnormally dry" other parts of Texas range from mild to exceptional drought.
