Friday, we're learning more about a drug bust that took nearly $150,000 worth of marijuana off Lubbock streets.
Wayne Montgomery Flake, 31, Merced Reyundo Lopez Jr., 30, Mark Norman Dyer, 56, and Scottie Sherod Bell, 35, are all charged with possession of marijuana over 50 pounds/less than 2,000.
Thursday afternoon authorities seized 120 pounds of marijuana, cars and fire arms from a home in the 4300 block of 43rd street. Led by the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office, Drug Enforcement Agency agents and Lubbock Police assisted. In total, about 30 officers were involved.
LSO tells NewsChannel 11 this investigation has been ongoing for an extended period of time. Investigators say due to the amount of marijuana and the number of people involved federal charges may also follow.
Friday night, all four suspects are in the Lubbock County Jail. If convicted, they could face two to 20 years in prison.
