2nd A.G. Letter On Overstreet Retaliation Claim

We have an update to claims of retaliation at Lubbock City Hall.  The ousted Director of Emergency Management, Kevin Overstreet, has asked for a second Attorney General investigation.

Overstreet says that he was removed from emergency management for no other reason than for reporting what he believes is illegal activity at city hall. Overstreet is still employed by the city.   He is in charge of animal control services, but not emergency management.  Overstreet's emergency management successor was named just days ago.

Both current and former officials deny retaliation.
