Clovis Jail Escapee Get More Prison Time - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The first of seven Clovis jail escapees is also the first to be convicted and sentenced for felony escape.

Victor Apodaca, 40, escaped from the Curry County Detention Center along with the other inmates on August 24, 2008.  He was recaptured when an officer saw him on the streets of Clovis, still in his bright orange jail pants.  

Apodaca was sentenced Thursday to 18 months plus a 6 month extra penalty for being a repeat offender. So, the total sentence is two years.
