No one was seriously hurt Friday afternoon when a train collided with a car in southeast Lubbock County.
The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. along the Slaton Highway, near the Coors Distribution Plant. It seems an Isuzu Rodeo was trying to cross the tracks, as the train approached.
The back of the car was clipped by the train but the driver was able to get out safely. He was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
