Influential West Texas Woman Dies at Age 87

An influential woman from West Texas has died.

Robena Formby Duncan died at the age of 87 after suffering a stroke. She was the mother of Senator Robert Duncan and the daughter of judge Marshall Formby. Her father is credited with helping to make sure Lubbock and West Texas had paved roads back in the early days of automobiles. 

Mrs. Duncan was known as a sponsor of the Lubbock Area Foundation.  Donations can be made in her honor to the American Diabetes Association.
