Lubbock Celebrates Both Bush And Obama

On January 20th one President moves into the White House, while another returns home.

President and Mrs. Bush will return to Midland, Texas on Tuesday, and all are invited. If you haven't gotten a ticket yet, it's not too late. Tickets will be available at the Lubbock County Republican Headquarters between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Monday afternoon.

It's a little further to travel to see the new President Elect, Barack Obama. Tuesday there will be several inaugural balls in Washington D.C. to welcome the new President, but for those who can't make the journey, you can attend a ball right here in the Hub City.

Tickets are $25 for one person or $40 for a couple. The black tie event begins at 7 p.m. in the Civic Center and will benefit the Juneteenth Scholarship Fund. For tickets call Tonya Johnson at 283-2990 or Kathleen McPherson at 787-4513.
