Funeral Services Set For Robena Duncan

Visitation and funeral services are now set for a woman who played an influential role in West Texas. Robena Formby Duncan died Wednesday at the age of 87 after suffering a stroke.

She was the mother of Senator Robert Duncan, and was the daughter of Judge Marshal Formby who helped get paved roads in Lubbock and West Texas.

Mrs. Duncan sponsored the Lubbock area foundation.

Visitation is scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Sullivan Funeral Home, 1801 Houston St., in Vernon. A public service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Vernon, 3029 Wilbarger, with burial to follow.

Donations may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association by mail to 2499 South Capital of Texas Highway, Suite A-204, Austin; or online at https://www.diabetes.org.
