Dr. Christopher Anderson saw thousands of patients over the years, and plans are in place to keep his practice open.
Staff members close the office near 24th and Quaker on Monday after they learned about the tragedy. Still, friends and coworkers met there to mourn, and to notify those he cared for. "They were looking at as many at 3,000 patients, or former patients they were trying to figure out how to mail information to and just reassure them that the office is still here," says friend of the family and former coworker Chris Brown.
Dr. John Brown is coming out of retirement to handle Anderson's patients temporarily. Anderson and Brown used to work together. Brown turned the practice over to Anderson when he retired. He will begin seeing patients Tuesday at Anderson's office.
