Out of 72 food establishments inspected this week, four whipped up the bragging rights and can call themselves top performers.

Jim Dandy Drive In at 2601 Clovis Road tops off this list of Food for Thought top performer.

We take a drive to 5202 50th Street where Sonic Drive In gets a perfect score.

From there we run for the boarder and find Taco Bell at 4928 50th Street.

Our last stop resigns supreme, Smoothie King at 3723 19th Street blends up a perfect score

Here is a complete list of the restaurants and their violations for the week ending on 1/22/09.

There are seven schools on the list that each had one critical violation.

Six of the schools all had the same violation. Food contact surfaces were dirty at Bayless, Honey, Maedgen, Roy Roberts and Smith Elementaries as well as Atkins Middle School.

And at Mahon Elementary, turkey was not correctly date-marked, but the report shows the cafeteria was very clean.

Now to the top of the class! There are 15 elementary, middle and high schools that made the grade this week.
