One Dead And One Injured After Over Night Accident

Just one day after four people from a Lubbock family died in a car accident near Abilene, another woman is dead following an overnight car accident in Lubbock. Twenty year old Tiffany Summers died, and 24-year-old John Garner is at University Medical Center still in critical condition after a head on collision.

The fatal accident happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night at the 6800 block of 4th Street. Summers was traveling West in a Chevy pick-up truck on 4th Street when she crossed the center line and hit Garner, who was driving a Ford Taurus. Officers pronounced Summers dead at the scene, and EMS transported Garner to UMC.

The Lubbock Police Department tells NewsChannel 11 they don't know if alcohol was involved in the accident.
