Lubbock County Commissioners Set Date for Alcohol Election - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock
County commissioners have set the date for Lubbock's upcoming alcohol election.
Voters will decide on May 9, 2009 whether or not to make Lubbock County wet. Early voting begins April 27, and continues through May 5. This election is expected to cost taxpayers $350,000.
The cost will not be split with the City of Lubbock, since last week council members decided against a spring bond election.
