The FDA inspection of the Georgia peanut facility linked to the recent salmonella outbreak is complete. They found several violations and even two strains of salmonella on the floor and problems with cleanliness measures.
The most recent data shows more than 500 people have been infected and 108 were hospitalized, with a majority of cases found in children under the age of 16, linked to peanut butter crackers. Eight deaths are linked to the outbreak.
