The Frenship Independent School District is experiencing some growing pains. According to a demographic report, the district is expecting 1,350 more students in the next five years. That number is expected to almost triple in ten years.
Superintendent John Thomas says the district will probably add another two to four campuses. "It's exciting but it's also a challenge for the district. We want to plan long range and develop a plan that's best for our students, staff, as well as our patrons."
FISD has hired a firm to come up with a finalized plan. The plan should be completed in the next several months.
