15 years ago, the world focused its eyes on Midland and a baby who was trapped at the bottom of a 22 foot hole. Wednesday marks the 15th anniversary of that 58 hour ordeal in which rescuers desperately tried to free Baby Jessica from the hole. One of the people involved in the rescue talked about it Wednesday.
"It was emotionally draining. I was on a 58 hour adrenaline rush, and it was as worse as any drug you can take. After it is over with, you have to take more and more of it, but when it was over with you just collapse. I cried," said Andy Glasscock, Midland Police Department.
Jessica McClure, now 16 years-old, still lives in Midland, but remains out of the public spotlight.
One of the most famous suits in Texas history is on display in Dallas. The white suit worn by Detective Jim Leavelle when Jack Ruby shot Lee Harvey Oswald is on loan to Dallas' Sixth Floor Museum. Leavelle was trying to move Oswald to the Dallas County Jail when the shooting happened live on national television. Besides the suit, Leavelle also loaned the hat and handcuffs to the museum, which documents the John F. Kennedy assassination.
