More Peanut Product Recalls Announced

Posted:

The Food and Drug Administration shut down a Georgia plant after lab tests proved their products were tainted. Now the list of potentially unsafe products grows to include more items that may be in your home.

Peanut Corporation of America is recalling all products manufactured at its Blakely, Georgia plant since January 1, 2007. As soon as we heard NewsChannel 11 placed calls to United Supermarkets to see what if anything they were pulling off their shelves.

If you have purchased Full Circle Roasted and Salted Mixed Nuts with the UPC Code 3680018925 you are encouraged to return them to the store you bought them for a refund. So far, Eddie Owens with United Supermarkets says this is just the latest product the stores have had to remove from their shelves.

There are 14 categories of recalled products ranging from brownie mix to pet food. It's still believed the jars of peanut butter you buy in stores are safe.

If you have any concerns at all you are encouraged to check the complete FDA list using the link below.
