U.S. Drought Monitor Map Shows Lubbock - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

NewsChannel 11 has been watching the Texas drought grow closer to Lubbock.   At this time the U.S. Drought Monitor shows the city of Lubbock is officially in drought.  

The yellow on the map (see link) shows abnormally dry. The light brown around Lubbock shows mild drought. The darker brown, which is within the NewsChannel 11's viewing area shows moderate drought.

Other parts of Texas are in even worse levels of drought.
