A four car pileup along I-27 sent four people to the hospital Saturday afternoon. Investigators with the Department of Public Safety tell NewsChannel11 a tire blow out caused the pile up around 12:10 p.m. near New Deal.
Authorities say the tire blew out on 28-year-old Alice Saucedo's Ford Explorer causing three vehicles behind her to crash. EMS took Saucedo and her two children to Covenant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. 18-year-old Dylan Jarvis of Andrews also went to Covenant with moderate injuries. He was driving a Ford pick-up.
Two other vehicles, a Sedan driven by Pablo Olivas of Hobbs, NM and a Chevy pick-up driven Rene Vecchio of Abernathy were also involved. DPS says those drivers did not go to the hospital.
