LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Texas Tech coach Pat Knight was ejected after running onto the court twice to protest a call in the Red Raiders' 82-69 loss to Nebraska on Saturday night.
With about nine minutes remaining in the game, Knight erupted off the bench and sprinted across the floor when Alan Voskuil was called for a foul. His assistants pulled him away and led him off the floor. A few seconds later, Knight ran back to midcourt to scream at officials again and was thrown out.
Knight is the son of the famously volatile Bob Knight, the all-time winnings men's major college coach with 902 victories. The younger Knight took over at Texas Tech when his dad abruptly retired last season.
