The Big 12 Conference has decided not to suspend Texas Tech Men's Basketball Coach Pat Knight for his actions in the January 31st game against Nebraska, according to a Big 12 Conference news release.
Knight was ejected for confronting a referee during Tech's Saturday loss to Nebraska and ran onto the court three times. His actions were a violation of the Big 12 Conference's Principles and Standards of Sportsmanship.
Knight has admitted publicly he made a mistake and according to a written statement apologized to Conference Commissioner Dan Beebe. Beebe says Knight would have been punished more severely except for his past exemplary behavior.
