LISD Seeking Public Input in Search for Superintendent

The search for the next LISD Superintendent relies on input from the community.

Former Superintendent Dr. Mike Moses and Dave Thompson and their company, School Consulting Inc., are leading the search. They met with focus groups made up of Lubbock citizens Monday to talk about district needs and what's important to the community.

Thompson said, "The focus groups we are meeting with today (Monday) will provide a great deal of information to be used by board as it evaluates candidates and gradually narrows its pool so that is one method of involvement. The district on its website wiil be soliciting anyone in the community that wants to participate by submitting comments, ideas, recommending specific individuals."

Dr. Moses says they hope to have a candidate identified by mid April, and under contract and on the job by July 1st.
