Weekend Grass Fire Burns 150 acres - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A weekend grass fire in southwest Lubbock county had firefighters from Wolfforth and Woodrow busy for two hours fighting the blaze.

The fire broke out around 11:00 a.m. in a field off 146th and Frankford. The flames then burned about 150 acres, blanketing nearby homes in a cloud of smoke. Fortunately, there were no reports of damage.
