Weather Related Wrecks Delay Traffic Along West Loop

A change in the weather contributed to a number of area wrecks in Lubbock Monday night. The downpour began just after six o'clock Monday night, and so did the pileups. In just a matter of minutes, at least four accidents occurred along the West Loop 289.

Police say there were no serious injuries, however at least one person was taken to the hospital.
