A shoot-out in Irving Monday night left a police officer and a suspect in the hospital. Authorities say it happened when police were called to a domestic disturbance. The officer, who has not been identified, is listed in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries at a Dallas hospital. The suspect, a 30 year-old Irving man is listed in serious condition after undergoing surgery for gunshot wounds.

A lightning strike lit up an Austin restaurant in a ball of fire Tuesday morning. About 30 to 45 Austin firefighters arrived at Landry's Seafood Restaurant about 3:45 a.m. Within minutes the fire grew to a two-alarm blaze. Flames engulfed the roof and exterior of the restaurant. Officials say the fire caused more than $160,000 in damage. No one was injured.

A little further south in San Antonio, thunderstorms dropped as much as two inches of rain. The slick streets are to blame for an accident involving a school bus and another vehicle. Fortunately, no students were riding the bus at the time of the accident. Both drivers were injured, but are expected to make a full recovery. Forecasters are predicting more rain through Friday.
