It appears Lubbock will keep its city manager for now. Earlier this week NewsChannel 11 told you Lee Ann Dumbauld was one of 10 finalists for the job of Dallas County Administrator. We learned Wednesday that is no longer the case.
Mayor Tom Martin says Dumbauld told him Wednesday morning she is not an applicant for the Dallas job and has no plans of leaving. Dallas County approached Dumbauld, not the other way around.
Last October, city council gave Dumbauld a mostly positive job evaluation. However the Council did say in writing she needed to do a better job disciplining her employees. Dumbauld replaced Lou Fox as Lubbock City Manager in September 2005.
