All products from Plainview peanut plant recalled

LUBBOCK (KCBD) - All products shipped from the Peanut Corporation of America plant in Plainview are recalled.

Late Thursday, the Texas Department of State Health Services ordered the recall after discovering dead rodents, rodent excrement, and bird feathers in a crawl space above a production area in the plant.

The order applies to all products shipped since the plant's opening in 2005. Plant officials voluntarily stopped operations Monday, and are not allowed to resume operations without Health Services approval. The plant processes peanut meal, granulated peanuts, and roasted peanuts.
