Lubbock Police Department offers tips for setting up neighborhood watch

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Burglaries have doubled in Lubbock over the course of one year. On Thursday, Police showed Lubbock residents how to set up a neighborhood watch.

"Keep your eyes and ears open and report any suspicious activity to the Police Department; any suspicious activity. That's what we're here for, and what we want you to do. And that's the basic concept behind neighborhood watch," says Sergeant Bill Casey.

But even if you missed the presentation, it's not too late. You can call (806) 775-2971 to learn more about the program.
