Lubbock's Blood Supply Is Low, Your Help Is Needed

People in Lubbock hospitals are waiting for surgeries, and you can help them.

Right now, United Blood Services is in critical appeal and is asking you to donate blood. That means hospital orders for blood can't be filled, and operations can't be performed. To donate blood, you can call United Blood Services at (806) 797-6804. United Blood Services is located at 48th and University.

Mobile Blood Drive locations for the next few days include:

  • Wednesday -- TTU Horn Dormitory -- Noon to 7 p.m.
  • Thursday -- TTU Chitwood Dormitory -- Noon to 7 p.m.
  • Thursday -- Wells Fargo Bank at 1500 Broadway-Coach -- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Friday -- TTU Gordon Hall -- Noon to 7 p.m.
  • Friday -- Rush Elementary School at 15th and Toledo-Coach -- Noon to 4 p.m.
