The Lubbock Hispanic Chamber of Commerce met at a north side restaurant on Wednesday to promote helping small businesses in north Lubbock. And now, a community development block grant will provide business owners with basic business skills, including computer and bookkeeping classes.
"We have a resource that's going to be able to go and visit each business on a one-to-one basis and see what it is that they need," said Esther Sepeda, President of the LHCC.
The block grant will provide $34,000 over the next three years.
