IDALOU, TX (KCBD) - Several folks called 911 at various times Friday to report smoke coming from the ashes of the West Texas Lee Company.
Fire broke out in the early morning hours of Thursday. Only minutes after the first report, the entire building was on fire. Lee Company is now operating from portable buildings.
Firefighters could not stop all the smoke Friday, because the remnants were still hot. Just as a precaution they put 400 gallons of water on the rubble.
The investigation into what caused the fire is still in the early stages.
