Mullinix sentenced to life in prison

DURANT, OK (KCBD) Bobby Don Mullinix, 25, was sentenced to life in prison on Thursday for the 2007 slaying of a Lubbock man. Officials say two men beat, stabbed, and shot 27-year-old Tristan York in Durant Oklahoma.

Originally Oklahoma prosecutors sought the death penalty, but life sentences were agreed to after consulting with York's family.

A second suspect, 42-year-old Charles Bussey, is already convicted and sentenced to life in prison.
