A race to collect the most trash will begin bright and early Saturday in Lubbock. It is the city's Cash for Trash Community Wide Clean Up. Registered groups will meet at K-Mart on University Avenue at 8 a.m., and then race around Lubbock trying to collect the most trash. You and your group can register at K-Mart Saturday. The collection goes until Noon. An awards ceremony will be at 12:30 p.m. at K-Mart. The group that collects the most trash will win $500. Second place wins $300, and third place wins $200.
