LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A little hole goes a long way in targeting cancer treatment. At Penn State University, they've created very tiny capsules to target only disease cells. Even though the idea of using micro-capsules for drug delivery isn't new these capsules are different.
The capsuls have a tiny hole inside them which is the only place the drug can be released. This allows the cancer treatment to be more precise and easier to hit the target. And the treatment is less toxic to the body.
