Early morning fire in Shallowater - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Several area Fire Departments responded to a fire at the Shallowater Cotton Gin around 3:00 Saturday morning. One of the side buildings on the property caught fire, but fire fighters put it out before the blaze spread to the main cotton gin building. At this time, we don't know what started the fire, but it is common for wind to cause cotton modules to set fire.
