LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock reclaimed the all-time world record for most pancakes served in eight hours this past weekend and the record is already under attack. But, it sounds as much like a commercial as a challenge. A company called Batter Blaster will try to break Lubbock's world record on May 9th in Atlanta, Georgia.
A TV ad says, "For waffles and for pancakes too, shake, point and blast is all you do." The Batter Blaster people say in a written statement that they can "easily break" Lubbock's world record. The Lubbock Lion's Club served more than 66,000 pancakes to roughly 17,000 people.
