Fire Burns Lawn in southwest Lubbock - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Authorities are looking into a fire in southwest Lubbock. Police say someone threw a large firecracker into the front yard of house in the 4000 block of 89th street around 10:49 p.m. Wednesday night.

The blast ignited the grass and burned a small part of the yard. There were no reports of injuries.

Authorities point out that Lubbock county remains under a burn ban due to the high fire danger.
