Public meeting to assemble Lubbock Animal Shelter task force

The City of Lubbock continues to wrestle with questions about what to do about the animal shelter: where to build one, how much to spend, and when.

The Humane Society of West Texas will hold a public meeting Thursday, with the goal of assembling a task force to address these concerns.

Members of the Animal Services Advisory Board will be joined by Deputy City Manager, Tom Adams, and Lubbock City Councilman, Todd Klein to speak and answer questions.

The public is encouraged to attend.
