Eibeck becomes 1st woman president - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock woman becomes the first female president at the University of the Pacific in Stockton California. Pamela Eibeck was once named among the most influential women in Texas. She is currently dean of the school of engineering at Texas Tech.

She'll soon be in charge of a university with 4,600 students on its main campus. Eibeck's areas of expertise include heat transfer; for example, the thermal tiles used to protect the space shuttles.
